Zombie Chronicles will be the new DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

A few days ago, online rumors said that there is a possibility of a new game titles Zombie Chronicles from the Call of Duty universe. It looks like it will only be just a DLC.

Activision, through two large production studios, Treyarch and Infinity Ward are working simultaneously on several Call of Duty games. With an average of approximately two years of development for a game, significant effort is needed to launch a new Call of Duty game every single year.

For this reason, information about future possible Call of Duty games often arrive online, but it is difficult to see if they are talking about complete new games or just a DLC for the title released a few months ago. This was also the destiny of the Zombie Chronicle, a title that has in the meantime proven to be a DLC for Call of Duty Black Ops 3.

The launch of the DLC has been officially confirmed and now we know exactly what will be the amount of additional content included in this expansion. The good part is that in Zombie Chronicles will be included 8 new maps for the multiplayer mode, instead of 5 as it happened in the previous DLCs. Unfortunately, you might recognize the maps from the previous Call of Duty games.

Although you will end up paying less money for extra content, you will most likely have already played the modernized maps. Going beyond the background details, the maps are the following, from Call of Duty: World at War will be Shi No Numa, Verruckt and Nacht Der Untoten. From Call of Duty: Black Ops will include Kino Der Toten, Ascension, Shangri-La and Moon. Attached to the DLC will be a modified edition for zombies of Origins from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

The newest DLC for Call of Duty Black Ops 3 - Zombie Chronicles will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 16th. The price for it was not instantly communicated, but it will most likely be $15, just like in the past.
